Meet Dr. Sorokolit


 

Dr. Christopher A. Sorokolit

Dr. Christopher A. Sorokolit is a board-certified orthodontic specialist for children and adults. He attended Baylor College of Dentistry, where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1986. He earned a master’s degree and completed an orthodontic residency at the University of Oklahoma in 1989. Dr. Sorokolit has been in private practice in Fort Worth, specializing in orthodontics, since 1989.

Dr. Chris Sorokolit and his wife, Kelly, have been married since 1984. They have four sons. In his spare time, Dr. Sorokolit enjoys playing tennis, backpacking, skiing, painting, coaching, traveling with his family and playing with his grandkids.

Dr. Sorokolit currently serves as senior orthodontist on the cleft palate team at Cook Fort Worth Children’s Hospital. He has authored several clinical and scientific articles that have been published in the Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and the Journal of Oklahoma Dental Association. He has been a teacher/lecturer for several dental and orthodontic groups (including the Southwest Society of Orthodontists, Dallas Orthodontic Study Club, Residency Program - Center for Facial Malformation at John Peter Smith Hospital, Grand Rounds at Cooks Children’s Hospital and more).

Dr. Sorokolit has received multiple awards for clinical excellence in orthodontics. He is recognized as a "Top Orthodontist" in Fort Worth Magazine and Texas Monthly.

Dr. Sorokolit is a specialist in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics and treats children, teens and adults. He emphasizes interceptive treatment (preventing problems in growing children from becoming worse) as well as dentofacial orthopedics (changing how jaws are growing). His wide range of treatment modalities allow him to customize treatment for his patients' individual needs for the most ideal correction and a beautiful SOROKOLIT SMILE.

To stay knowledgeable of the most current orthodontic procedures and technology, Dr. Sorokolit maintains memberships with the College of Diplomates of the American Board of Orthodontics, the American Association of Orthodontists, the Southwest Society of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, the Texas Dental Association and the Fort Worth District Dental Society.
